Dünya Bankası: Azerbaycan’ın dış tecim fazlası GSYİH’nın %20’sine ulaştı

Yüksek enerji tutarları Azerbaycan’ın dış tecim fazlasını GSYİH’nın %20’sine çıkardı.

“APA-Economics” reported that this was announced in the new monthly economic bulletin for Azerbaijan by the World Bank.

“The trade surplus due to energy exports increased from 16.8% of GDP in February to 20% of GDP in March. Exports increased by 60% in March compared to the previous year. Non-energy exports, on the other hand, decreased by 2%, petrochemical exports.” – The World Bank noted in its commentary.

It was reported that the economy grew by 0.4% on an annual basis in the first quarter of 2023. Inflation remained high at 13.7% on an annual basis. In response, the Central Bank raised the base rate to 9%.

The World Bank report also mentioned that a budget deficit was recorded in March due to the increase in current expenses: “The budget deficit was 1.6% of GDP in March. In the first quarter of 2023, the budget deficit occurred.

the surplus fell to 5.7% of GDP”.
